Julia has extensive experience as a creative leader, music director, and conductor with a speciality in vocal performance coaching and storytelling.
She recently served as the Resident Music Consultant for Seattle Repertory Theatre and is the Co-Chair for Regional and Affinity Groups at MAESTRA. Julia has frequently worked with The 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Village Theatre, Cornish College of the Arts and The Ordway Center for Performing Arts in a variety of roles including music director, music supervisor, conductor, pianist and pit musician. In 2015 she music directed the Gregory Award winning Best Musical Into the Woods, and in 2019 her work on the Ordway Cabaret “Back to Before” received a BroadwayWorld nomination.
Beyond her creative work in the rehearsal room, Julia has extensive experience in music administration related to hiring, teaming, and mentoring up-and-coming musicians.
